The Museum of London documents the history of London from prehistoric to modern times. The museum is located on London Wall, close to the Barbican Centre as part of the striking Barbican complex of buildings created in the 1960s and 1970s as an innovative approach to re-development within a bomb-damaged area of the City of London.

Really enjoyed the atmosphere. The museum tells the story of the beginning of London beautifully; from the time of hunters and gatherers up until now.

Everything a museum should be. Wonderful exhibits, beautifully presented. Pleasant, informative staff. Excellent cafe. All housed in a new, well designed attractive building. Very close to a tube station.

A friend, myself and our children (4 in total) headed here for a cheap day out in the summer holidays. We were not disappointed! As soon as we arrived friendly staff welcomed us and told us where to find the child related activities.
